"The conversation becomes the content. The content becomes the citation. The citation becomes the answer." That's the best line in here, and what it's describing isn't really new — it's the oldest mechanism in crowd behavior, just running on machines now.

A claim repeated enough by enough independent voices stops being treated as opinion and starts being treated as fact, whether or not it's actually true.

AI didn't invent that. It just automated it and removed the years it used to take. Vendors have always lost the "what's true about us" argument the moment enough strangers agreed on a different answer without them there to argue features and benefits.

Do you think that makes brand reputation more honest now that AI is doing the counting, or just faster and harder to see coming?

I don’t think it makes brand most honest now that AI is doing the counting. I think marketers have their work cut out for them.
